When setting up your ADA tank, it’s important to start off on the right foot. It’s recommended to lay down the 5 soil additives (Clear Super, Bacter 100, Tourmaline BC, Penac W, Penac P) before you lay down the ADA soil as the additives aid in the healthy growth of your plants, aid in the health and propagation of beneficial bacteria, introduce more than 100 different kinds of micro organisms which help improve soil and water conditions as well as stabilize the ecosystem in your tank, helps add specific minerals important for plant growth, and helps maintain clear water.
You will receive one bag of Tourmaline BC and another bag of mixed Bacter 100, Clear Super, Penac P, and Penac W. These are to be kept separate until you are ready to lay down your substrate soil as the Tourmaline BC is the activator.
