PMDD a.k.a. Poor Man’s Dupla Drop Mix – is a mixture of K2SO4, KNO3, MgSO4, and CSM+B which serves as an all around aquarium plant fertilizer. There’s no need to decide what to mix as it’s already premixed for you. Each portion makes 300ml of fertilizer. It’s an inexpensive way to fertilize your aquarium plants!
It’s important to do at least 25% water changes once a week to remove excess fertilizers – The exact does will vary. A good rule of thumb is to start off adding 1 drop per 2.5g every few days or daily. After a week, if you notice that algae is starting to grow, then you can cut back on the dosing. If nothing is happening, then you can add more fertilizer, however if you are noticing some growth, you can continue with the same dosing. By trail and error, you will discover what works for your tank.
