All you need is to add enough CO2 indicator solution in your drop checker so that at least half of the drop checker is filled. Some people will just use the CO2 drop checker solution in the drop checker but to make the most of your indicator solution, you can add 4dKH solution with your Co2 indicator when filling up the drop checker. That way, you may only need 5 to 6 drops of the indicator solution, and the remaining can be the 4dKH solution.
