WELCOME TO CANADIAN AQUATICS! 

Our goal is to provide you with quality fish from around the world.  We are a small business that aims to provide quality fish and service that reflects our passion for fish and their care.  We import our fish from South America, West Africa, and South East Asia.  Our team also breeds some of our own imported wild and domesticated livestock.  Check out our livestock page and if you are interested in something that is not in our list, feel free to send us an email.  We will gladly answer any question that you may have and will try to assist you in getting  the fish you want.


2014/FEB/05 - EMAIL ADDRESS CHANGED! 

We have changed over to gmail.  Our old email lamhoufai@hotmail.com still works.  But we are changing our contact email to lamhoufai@gmail.com from now on.  We have experienced quite a few problems with our hotmail account so as of today, we will be migrating all our email contacts to our gmail.  So please send all your questions and orders through our gmail account.  Thank you.


2013/March/25 - important notice about our pricing.

British Columbia, Canada will be changing the sale tax on April 01 2013.  The % will be 5% GST and 7% PST.

 In BC, our customers will be charged 12% in total.

 In BC, our wholesaling customers will be charged only 5% GST by providing us your new PST number.

For all other provinces, you will only be charged 5% GST.

We are no longer going to  include the sale tax in our listed prices after March/31/2013.

Shipping information:

We ship with Westjet and Air Canada airport to airport across Canada.  Normally, 1 standard/double box will cost about $85 in shipping along.  2 boxes of combination is about $120 just in shipping.
- Standard box size 45x45x37cm - $10 box charge
- Double box size 67x45x37cm - $15 box charge
- Heatpack - $2.50 each (we use 2 per box in the winter and 1 or none during summer weather dependant)

Ordering information:

We accept paypal, direct cash deposit, or cash.  Orders must be sent by email.  Upon receiving the order, your fish will be reserved.  Full payment must be received within 7 days.  If full payment has not been received within 7 days, all reservation will be cancelled.  Items on the stock list and equipment list are subject to availability.

Local pick up can be arranged by phone or email.

 

Terms and conditions:

1) Airport to airport is our preferred shipping method.  We have known shipper status with Westjet and Air Canada.  This is by far the quickest and safest way to ship live fish.  We will guarantee live arrival using airport to airport service within 2 hours of scheduled arrival time with the exception of some very sensitive fish (we will inform you on your order if you have any).  All other live stock (plants and shrimps) and equipment may be shipped with other carriers at the discretion of the client.

2) DHL 9AM special is also available providing you have the same service in your area.  Please contact your local DHL to find out.  We will only guarantee live arrival on the very first 9AM next day delivery FIRST ATTEMPT.  We will not guarantee live arrival if DHL delays delivery, weather cauing delays, or after the first 9AM attempt.  

3) Within B.C., we can also do Greyhound next day providing you have the same service in your area.  We have shipped fish to the interior of B.C. many times and so far, the service is quite good.  However, we will not guarantee live arrival with Greyhound.

4) Vancouver Island customers and some Northern B.C. customers will be able to use other airlines besides Westjet or Air Canada.  Please contact us and we will find out for you. 

D.O.A. (Dead on arrival) and other problems:

The client will have to pick up all shipped livestock within 2 hours of scheduled arrival time.  If there are any delays due to the airline company, the client will have to deal with the airline company directly.  If there are any dead fish in the bag(s) and other problems, the client will have to (A) inform us and (B) photos should be taken with the dead fish inside the original unopened bag(s).  Both (A) and (B) should be done within 2 hours of receiving shipment.  We are not responsible for any DOA and other problems  after the 2 hours of scheduled arrival period.  We will work out the best arrival time to suit your schedule.   We are not responsible for DOA caused by delay, mishandling or any incident by the airline company, any DOA and other problems related to our handling of the fish will be credited towards the next purchase.  Shipping and other costs (packing and handling) are non-refundable and will not be credited towards the next purchase.
